Easter Vigil

The Easter Vigil is a significant liturgical event in the Catholic Church, held on the evening before Easter Sunday.

During this ceremony, a new fire was blessed, symbolizing the light of Christ. Blessings of Paschal candle was also carried out which symbolises the Risen Christ – our candles were lit from the newly blessed fire. Priest blessed the baptismal water signifying purification and new life through Christ’s resurrection. Additionally, the congregation renewed their baptismal promises, reaffirming their commitment to their faith.
